Kogi State Guber Election; INEC Cancels Results In 25 Polling Units, Declares Election Inconclusive

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the Kogi state governorship elections conducted yesterday, 21st November 2015 inconclusive.This, according to INEC returning officer, is as a result of the difference in the winning figures, following the cancellation of 25 polling units in 19 local government areas of the state

According to the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Mr Halilu Pai, who is also the returning officer in the election, the margin of win between the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is 41000, which he said is far below the canceled votes.

 All the Political party agents who participated in the election expressed their satisfactions on the INEC's decision, saying that it is in accordance with the electoral law of Nigeria.

We are not yet sure when the rerun election in the 25 polling units would be held.
