Racism In Football; Serbian Coach Marko Nikolac Who Called A Nigerian Player “Black Idiot” Handed A Seven Match Ban

The Slovenian FA have handed a seven-match ban to Olimpija Ljubljana’s coach Marko Nikolic for calling Nigerian forward Blessing Eleke a “black idiot”, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

According to newsnowgroup.com, the SFA cited “clear racism” as their reason for the sanction. Nikolic was caught on camera saying “look at that black idiot” while Eleke was celebrating an equaliser in the game against rival Zavrc.

The coach felt Eleke spent too long celebrating the goal, Eleke’s second goal for Olimpija following his €750,000 move from Nova Gorica in January.
