The Hate Continues As Buhari Suspends The Construction Of 260 Kilometres Super Highway In Cross River State
The Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade, has disclosed that Buhari led federal government has suspended the construction of the proposed 260 kilometres super highway pending the conclusion of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) on the project.
The proposed road, on completion, would serve as evacuation route for cargo from the proposed Bakassi Deep Sea Port in the southern part of the state to the northern part of the country through Gakim in the northern part of the state.
A press release from the office of the chief Press secretary to the governor, Mr. Christian Ita, made available to THISDAY on Monday night quoted Ayade as making the disclosure when he played host to the Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita when the latter paid him a courtesy visit in his office, thisdaylive.com reports
