Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu Wins As Appeal Court Vacates High Court's Judgement Nullifying His Election

There is jubilation in and around Umuahia the Abia state capital following the Appeal Court judgement a few hours ago nullifying an earlier ruling in June by a federal high court removing Gov. Ikpeazu from office.
The federal appeal court Abuja ruled that the removal of Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu as governor of Abia State by the Federal High Court Abuja on June 27th is null and void.

The five member panel of judges set aside the judgement of Justice Okon Abang sacking Ikpeazu from office over allegations of filling false tax documents during the PDP governorship primaries in 2014.

You would recall we brought you info here yesterday, how a billionaire businessman from Anambra state by name Arthur Eze bought a handful of judges to secure the ruling according to pointblanknews.com.

The judgement had almost thrown the state into confusion after INEC immediately issued Ikpeazu's rival, Uche Ogah, a certificate of return as instructed by Justice Abang. The situation however came under control after Ikpeazu filed for an appeal on the ruling.
