President Muhammadu Buhari And His Wife Aisha, Are Both In The United States Of America Accompanied By 108-Man Delegation Even As Nigeria's Economy Is In Severe Recession!
President Muhammadu Buhari has been accused of being deceptive with some of his plans since he assumed office as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. With Nigeria’s economy in recession and hardship in the land, President Muhammadu Buhari has led a 86 man delegation to the United Nations general assembly in New York. According to a tweet by citizen journalism website, Sahara Reporters, the breakdown of the President’s team includes 16 man presidential advance team, 14 presidential aides, 32 ministers and aides, 24 officials of foreign affairs and other MDAs.
Also, the president’s wife, Mrs Aisha Buhari is also separately attending the UNGA with 22 persons, including wives of Governors. Her delegation is reportedly privately financed. Speaking with our reporter, Femi Adesina the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity said he does not have the total figure of the President’s delegate to the United Nation’s General Assembly.
The 86-man delegation that escorted Mr Buhari to the UN general assembly is in defiance to the recently launched “Change Begins With Me’’ campaign which is to entrench the values of accountability, integrity and inculcate positive attitudinal change in Nigerians.
