Report making waves on the world wide Web has it that a gang of heavily armed men yesterday abducted the wife of the Nigerian Central Bank Governor, Margaret Emefiele.
According to saharareporters.com. source close to Mr. Emefiele said Mrs. M Emefiele was kidnapped along the Benin-Agbor Road. Sources disclosed that the kidnappers have made contact with their victim’s husband, adding that they were demanding a huge sum in ransom in the region of N1.5 billion.
It has also been learned that Mrs. Emefiele had a four-man police detail attached to her. However, when the police were confronted with the superior firepower of the kidnappers they ran away, leaving her and the other victims in the hands of the criminals.
