Adam Wardle, from the UK, was born with a rare condition called bladder exstrophy. As the name suggests, his condition causes his bladder to form outside his body, viralthread.com reports. Although his testicles were normal, he had no penis. Wardle spent his childhood going under the knife in an attempt to restore normal function to his urinary system
It turns out that penises aren’t all about sex. Without a penis to protect his bladder from the outside world, Wardle’s body isn’t able to fend off nasty urinary tract infections. Having a functional penis will reduce the number of kidney infections and other complications Wardle still faces from his condition.
Thankfully, pioneering new medical treatments in the UK means that Daniel is about to finally get the functioning penis he’s always dreamed of. A year and a half since he first went public about his condition, Wardle’s penis is nearly complete. It’s been installed and built using skin from his arm, and just needs one more operation to “turn it on”.
Wardle’s new penis becomes erect with the push of a button, so he’ll never have to worry about staying erect after a few pints at his local. Unfortunately, though, this comes with one small problem: in order to complete the procedure, Wardle first has to have an erect penis for two full weeks.
In order to cope with having an erection for two weeks, Wardle intends to stay within the four walls of his Manchester home. During in interview about his condition on the UK’s This Morning show, presenter Phillip Schofield asked: “What have they given you?” Wardle replied: “They have built what any man has got. I’ve got what anyone has got, it just needs turning on.”
Wardle was also joined on the show by his long-term girlfriend Fedra Fabian. She spoke about the challenges they’d already faced as a couple, saying: “We got to a point where we almost broke up, but we said, ‘Let’s give it a shot, let’s woman up, let’s man up!’ You find a way to get through it, we’re best friends.” Culled from; viralthread.com
