I Wrongly Thought Goodluck Jonathan’s Leadership Was Bad – Olusegun Obasanjo

Goodluck Jonathan paid a private visit to former president Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday at his Coker-Ibogun Local Council Development Area, Ogun State country home.

It was gathered that Jonathan arrived the village where Obasanjo was born around noon and both former presidents held a closed-door meeting.

The outcome of the meeting between the two former leaders according to report was in contrast of Obasanjo's constant criticism of Jonathan during the last years of his presidency. You would recall both leaders had a very frosty relationship prior to the 2015 general election. The height of which was when both wrote open letters to each other accusing themselves of one thing or the other.

Well, that's all in the past now, as OBJ was said to have showered praises on former President Goodluck Jonathan for his exemplary leadership. Both leaders had a closed-door meeting that lasted for a couple of hours.

Speaking to the press, OBJ said, “I want to say that we have it, Nigeria is a good country and we must never be tired of lifting the country up to the height that God has created it to be. And God did not make a mistake when he put all of us together and if He doesn’t want us to be together no power in the world will have made us come together.”

Jonathan was accompanied by former Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Turaki as well as other close aides. Obasanjo spoke to the press after the meeting.
