According to a report in the UK Mirror, Arsenal football club may have shortlisted Newcastle United manager, Rafa Benitez as one of their options to replace Arsene Wenger. The former Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid manager, is currently in charge of English Championship leaders, Newcastle United. In the plan, Benitez is expected to ask Gunners’ legend Thierry Henry to joins him on the coaching staff.
It is understood that the Spaniard is one of four names, which have been shortlisted by the Arsenal hierarchy to step in, if Wenger decides to call it a day at the end of this season. The other coaches are Borussia Dortmund’s Thomas Tuchel, Barcelona’s Luis Enrique and Monaco’s Leonardo Jardim.
