This is becoming unbearable. I mean the level of brutality the Nigerian army and police forces mete out to the people of eastern Nigeria is getting out of hand.
According to reports, here in pictures are female members of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB who took to the streets yesterday, semi-nude to protest against the level of brutality they are getting in the hands of members of the Nigerian army.
Biafran women under the banner, Great Women of Biafra, have stated that some Nigerian soldiers seized four of their members, used the nozzles of their guns to tear their clothes, rendering them naked and brutalized some of them, when they gathered to pray and hold their meetings. The women who were drawn from Akwa/Ibom, Cross Rivers, Imo, Enugu, Anambra and other South-South and South-East states protested semi-nude to the palace of the Igwe, complaining that the soldiers disrupted their peaceful assembly in Abiriba, a community in Abia state.
This barbaric, inhumane and disgraceful culture of the Nigerian army should be addressed before it gets out of hand. You would recall the army and police in Nigerian have since the coming of Buhari's administration killed well over 2000 men and woman from Biafra land in the name of suppressing the agitation for secession.
