Group To Stage Sit-Out At Abuja House In London, To Demand Buhari’s Return Or Resign On Ground Of Incapacity To Execute His Functions!

According to vanguardngr.com, some concerned citizens, living both in Nigeria and in the United Kingdom, have concluded plans to stage daily sit-out in Nigeria and at the Abuja House in London where President Muhammadu Buhari is currently staying to demand that the president returns to Nigeria and continue his presidential duties or that he resigns if his health would not permit him to continue his mandate of leading Nigeria to the promised land of economic development and security of the country.

The coalition of Concerned Nigerians who, in a statement, said the sit-out protests would hold simultaneously in Nigeria and London on August 7th.

According to a statement by the group, “You would recall that the president has been away from the country on a medical trip to the United Kingdom since May 7th, 2017.

“In line with the provisions of Section 40 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which guarantees the right to peaceful assembly, and in exercise of that right, we have, therefore, written a letter to the Police and other relevant security agencies requesting for protection as we exercise our fundamental right as enshrined in the Constitution.

“All participants are expected to be at the venue before 09:00 am in Abuja and 11 am in London to demand President Muhammadu Buhari’s return to Nigeria and to the office or his resignation on the ground of incapacity to execute his functions as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“We are inviting the general public, members of the press and Civil Society Organizations to our peaceful Daily Sit-Out that is scheduled to take place as follows; August 7th, 09:00 am at the Unity Fountain Abuja and August 7th, 11 am at the Abuja House, London, United Kingdom.” With Vanguardngr.com
