Atiku’s Leadership Will Be For All Nigerians & Not For Selected People From One Section & Will End Igbo Marginalisation’ - Ahmad Umaru Fintri

The Adamawa State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Alhaji Ahmad Umaru Fintri, said yesterday that the choice of ex-governor of Anambra state Peter Obi, as Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s running mate in 2019 poll has ended the political marginalization of Igbo people.

Fintri, popularly known as ATM in Adamawa told journalists in Yola, the state capital that since late Alex Ekwueme served as Vice president to Alhaji Shehu Shagari in the Second Republic, the southeast has never tested the office again.

He said that youth unrest in the zone is hinged on the marginalization of the zone by the federal government, especially making key appointments without including the people of the area.

The former acting governor said the choice of Obi from the southeast is a sign that Atiku’s leadership will be for all Nigerians and not for selected people from one section of the country.

“Atiku has shown Nigerians by the choice of Obi that all sections of the country will be properly represented in his government. He has proven that no section of the country is better or more important than the other,” he said.

On his election as PDP candidate and challenge of facing the incumbent in the election, Fintri said before now, he has defeated the incumbent without stress, insisting that the days of All Progressive Congress (APC) leadership will be over next year. With The Guardian.
