Who Killed Air Vice Marshall Alex Badeh - Femi Fani Kayode!

Femi Fani-Kayode, former Nigeria's minister of Aviation yesterday issued a press statement on the assassination of AVM Alex Badeh, Nigeria's former Chief of defence staff.

Have a good read!

The sad and brutal assassination of the former Chief of Defence Staff and former Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall Alex Badeh, a day after President Buhari's birthday, is a despicable and cowardly act.

Not only was he an officer and a gentleman but he was also a profoundly good man who was criminalized, humiliated and treated in a malicious and unacceptable manner by a vicious, malevolent and evil government that had targetted him for vilification and destruction right from the start.

Despite the fact that he was subjected to a well-orchestrated and relentless degree of persecution from the Buhari administration, he remained a believer in Nigeria and a heroic, courageous and unrelenting critic of tyranny, injustice and ethnic and religious subjugation till the end.

He knew many of the Buhari government's excesses and secrets, he worked quietly against them from behind the scenes and, by his numerous actions and interventions, he saved the lives of many of his Middle Belt people.

Those that were behind his assassination know who they are. They shall not escape justice and they will pay a terrible price for their wickedness. His assassination is a debt that will be repaid by God and the people no matter how long it takes.

In the fullness of time the Lord of Hosts and the Ancient of Days, in whose bosom he now resides, will avenge him.

These are still early days and the investigation is yet to commence but I do not accept the suggestion that some have already made that his murder was a random and isolated event. That is just too convenient a conclusion to come to and it seeks to cover the tracks of the masterminds of this heinous and ungodly crime.  In any case, many questions need to be answered.

For example how come a former Chief of Defence Staff and a former Chief of Air Staff did not have any military personnel or security details guarding and protecting him? This is especially so given the fact that it appears that he was on a long distance drive on a road which has proved to be dangerous in the early hours of the evening.

Badeh was entitled to that level of protection by virtue of his position as a former Chief of Defence Staff. How come he was denied it? Who withdrew his men? Who wanted him to be alone with just his driver on that journey? Who wanted him dead?

There are many other questions which we shall ask at the appropriate time. And one day we shall get the answers.

Meanwhile, I add my voice to those who have called for an independent and public commission of inquiry into this courageous and noble soul's brutal assassination.  With his murder, it is clear that, under Buhari, ours is a nation of not just ethnic and religious cleansing but also a nation of political cleansing.

Adamawa state, the Middle Belt, Christendom and indeed the whole of Nigeria has lost a great man who though maligned, demonized and misrepresented by his numerous and powerful detractors, still had so much to offer our nation. May his beautiful and precious soul rest in peace.

Permit me to conclude this contribution with the following aside. Given this sad event, if anyone still believes that President Buhari will conduct a free and fair election and, after losing, hand over power quietly and go back to Daura without a fight next year, that person is gravely mistaken and painfully naive.

Those that believe this have still not fully understood the nature of the beast that we are dealing with. What they fail to appreciate is that it is not about Buhari alone but about who and what he represents. And those that he represents are not ready to relinquish power and lose all the ground that they have regained over the last three years and six months.

Consider the following words which were sent to me by an insider who wishes to remain anonymous.

"Air Chief Alex Badeh the former Chief of Defence Staff who called the Nigerian President, Mohammadu Buhari a "religious bigot" to his face was assassinated yesterday after he had threatened to expose the government over its involvement with Boko Haram prior to removing Jonathan. Just before he left office, he visited Maiduguri in a covet operation and ran into some top members of the current day government as they were coming out of a meeting with Boko Haram Commanders at the Nigerian Army underground Armory which was seized by Boko Haram. He ordered his boys not to open fire but took pictures which he refused to hand over to the government when he was retired. He raised an alarm first week in November 2018 when 2 hooded men tried to break into his Asokoro house but DSS played it down. He was assassinated in cold blood by unknown gunmen one month later".

I cannot confirm the veracity of some of these assertions but two things are self-evident. Firstly that he was indeed murdered on December 18th and secondly that there is a dimension to this matter that few are familiar with.

Yet whatever we choose to believe or choose not to believe we must always remember the following: theirs is an ancient and hegemonic agenda and it is as real today as it was 58 years ago when we won our independence from the British.

First, it was Rear Admiral Daniel Ikoli, the Fleet Commander of the Western Naval Command, who reports suggesting was conducting an investigation into secret arms sales to Boko Haram, that was assassinated.

Then it was ex-Military Intelligence Chief and the former Director of Administration of Defence Headquarters, General Alkali, who was privy to a lot of damning information, that was assassinated.

Then it was the ex-Chief of Defence Staff under whose leadership Boko Haram was annihilated, Air Vice Marshal Alex Badeh, that has been assassinated.

All three of these worthy and noble warriors and sons of Nigeria were murdered in the last one year and all three had quite a story to tell about what was really going on in certain circles in our country! I urge our people to ponder on this and to think, think and think again!

The cabal is very much in control, the game is on and the next few months will be a rough ride. Yet no matter what comes our way one thing is clear: God is still on the throne and all power belongs to Him.

He rules in the affairs of men, He forges the destiny of nations and His counsel alone shall stand. Fasten your seat belts and let us see what will unfold.

A REQUIEM FOR THE LIFELESS ONE

”A voice is heard in Ramah, mourning and great weeping. Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted because they are no more”- Jeremiah 31: 15.

O lifeless one, you have lost all sense of decency and you are drunk with power.

As the children are murdered in cold blood and cut short in the streets of Abuja by your soldiers you watch silently from a distance: smug, smiling, detached, indifferent and secretly egging the killers on.

Simply put, the butchery and bloodfest excites you and stirs your passion. You love the brutality and finality of murder: it makes you feel like a powerful man and it makes your adrenaline flow.

As the mothers of the slain weep and as their fathers cry to God for justice your impish Vice smiles the smile of the wicked and boastfully proclaims how the two of you are preparing to dance "shaku shaku" for the 2019 election. Your sheer depravity and insensitivity are certified and confirmed.

You have proved me right: in 2015 I told the world that you were a heartless, dangerous and ravenous beast but few listened. I told them that in the spirit realm you were depicted as a hungry, lean, bitter and vengeful wolf but they could not perceive it and they did not believe.

Now they know better. Today the entire world has seen you for what you are: utterly godless and lacking any respect or compassion for the sanctity of human life. You are playing God as your people suffer and perish by your blood-soaked hands.

You butchered thousands of innocent IPOB members simply for peacefully demonstrating in the streets of the east.

You slaughtered thousands of defenseless Shiite Muslims in Zaria and Abuja simply for demanding for their rights and calling for the release of their leader.

You turned a blind eye and applauded with pleasure when thousands of Christian Middle Belters and southerners were subjected to genocide and ethnic cleansing by your terrorist Fulani herdsmen and you did not raise a finger to defend or protect them.

You said and did nothing when thousands of innocent men, women, and children were butchered in their homes, fields, places of worship and farms by strangers from the Niger Republic in Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto and other parts of the northwest.

You strengthened and assisted the jihadists of Boko Haram to murder thousands in the northeast by paying them huge ransoms and releasing hundreds of their foot soldiers and commanders from jail.

You brutalized and impoverished Nigerians and you turned our once prosperous nation into the poverty capital of the world.  You lost 11 million jobs and you borrowed more money than all the governments put together in the previous 16 years.

You failed to initiate, begin and complete even one capital project in three years, you devalued our money by 80% and you plunged our economy into the worse recession in our entire history.

You have brought nothing but fear, pain, famine, suffering, strife, calamity, division, death and terror to our land.

You persecuted your enemies and terrorized your critics and with every fiber of your being, you sought to destroy them. Cruelty was your watchword, wickedness your banner whilst your ruthlessness was unprecedented and unrelenting.

You raided the National Assembly and locked out our legislators. You threatened and intimidated the Judiciary, broke their spirit and bent them to your will. You stormed the homes of Judges and whisked them away in the dead of the night.

You assaulted a sitting governor and ordered them to stop him from traveling. You took over INEC and rigged every election. You declared your opponent's thieves and looters and banned them from traveling abroad.

You corrupted the anti-corruption agency and you used the security and intelligence agencies to torment your enemies and do your dirty work.

You silenced and intimidated the press, you relished the abuse of power and you protected your friends even after they stole and killed.

You showed disdain and displayed contempt for your own people and you consistently insulted and denigrated them, calling them ignorant, corrupt and lazy fraudsters, whenever you traveled abroad and addressed foreign leaders and the foreign press.

You lied about your educational qualifications yet you insisted on calling yourself Mr. Integrity.

You locked up and tortured your opponents and in the case of Sambo Dasuki, El Zak Zaky and countless others you disregarded court orders and threw away the key.

You raided the home of Nnamdi Kanu and attempted to kill him. You slaughtered his friends, staff, family members and dog and made him flee into exile.

You left Leah Sharibu in the hands of her brutal jihadist abductors and you refused to bring her home with the others simply because she is a Christian.

You sat back silently and watched both Christian and Muslim clerics being slaughtered by evil men whilst their Churches and Mosques were bombed and burnt to the ground. O Lifeless one, what manner of man are you?

So much innocent blood has been shed by you and under your watch yet you refuse to show any remorse or bring the perpetrators to justice.

Your heart is hardened and unrepentant and consequently, the Lord has already determined your end.

As long as Jesus sits on the throne and the heavens rule in the affairs of men you will never escape the consequences of your wickedness.

The innocent blood that you have shed and that has been shed under your watch cries out from the earth and speaks against you before the God of Heaven.

You refused to be merciful and therefore you will find no mercy. You refused to be just and therefore you will find no justice. You refused to be kind and therefore you will find no kindness. You refused to be compassionate and therefore you will find no compassion.

You will be roundly defeated in the next election by one who God has raised, empowered and preserved specifically for this time.

You will be humiliated before the world and brought to your knees and after that, you will pay the price and be brought to justice for your heinous crimes.

As it was for Sennacherib, Pharaoh, Herod, Agag, Nebuchadnezzar, and Goliath, so it shall be for you. As it was for the whore of Babylon, for the Amalekites and the evil Chaldeans, so it shall be for yours.

You shall reap what you have sown, you shall fall before the world and your bitter end shall be a testimony to the power of God and proof that He alone rules in the affairs of men.

O lifeless one read these words carefully for this is your requiem.
