Is Our Africa Now Bongo Bongo Lands.

The issue of foreign aid to so called poor countries is now making a disturbing wave in the United Kingdom. The uproar caused by the name tag given to these aid dependent, mostly African and Asian countries by a United Kingdom Independent Party big wing seems to be ragging on and will continue for sometime. Bongo Bongo is derived from the kind of parties said to be organised by the former Italian Leader with revellers and false eye lashed young girls.
Developed Nations of the world mainly Britain, United States, France and Germany spend a substantial amount of their annual budgetary allocations on aid to the so called poor countries of the world mostly in Africa, Asia and South American Continents. These monies are known to be ending up in private bank accounts of top government official in these countries with little or nothing to show for. With the global economic crunch still biting harder in most of these donor countries, there have been calls from citizens of these donor countries especially Britain, for the government to either stop or substantially reduce the out flow of these monies to countries where they end up in Bongo Bongo parties, private bank accounts, expensive cars and apartments abroad. They want emphasis to be paid to their internal economy, having to be facing series of spending cuts in almost all spheres . With high level of unemployment and increasing difficult times for citizens, it is a matter of common sense to see that these calls are worth it. There is anger from all quarters, ranging from the parliaments to the streets. The branding of these aid dependent countries as Bongo Bongo Lands is just but one of the daily calls that makes the air wave.
Without being told I believe that time has come when these Bongo Bongo Lands will have to reassess and search their souls to see if they are still morally sound to continue to accept these foreign aid and donations.
Citizen Solidarity should wake up before it is too late and ask their government to account for these donations as well as their Gross Domestic Products. It should now be termed ''International fraud'' for any country to continue to collect foreign aid without anything to show for it.
It is a widely known fact that most of these governments use these foreign aid to settle their friends and friends of friends whom they appoint to ''manage'' these funds.
Most recently HSBC was forced to close loads of foreign embassies accounts and they are mostly those of these same foreign aid dependent Bongo Bongo countries. Reasons being that they use their accounts to launder and syphon stolen monies with impunity.
It is hard time African and Asian leader choose to work towards the development of their countries and ''GET OFF'' dependent on foreign aid for the betterment of their ever growing population.
