WHO IS YOUR FAMILY? MAKE SURE YOU PRIORITISE YOUR FAMILY AND PEOPLE YOU LOVE MOST! - By Frank Uche Dibia

Family is the smallest component of a Society or Nation. It is the most important aspect of any Society, without which there would not be a Nation in the first place.This is usually a union of individuals who love themselves most and cares and provides for themselves without bound. The core of a family is in procreation and reproduction as it is in the beginning; ''God made man and woman in His own image''. The making of man and woman by God was the beginning of procreation, nevertheless it was creation. 

 

The English Collins Concise Dictionary defines family as ''a primary social group consisting of parents and their offspring, a group descended from a common ancestor, all the persons living together in one household''. 

 

It is usually made up of a man, a woman and their children/offspring. In today's re-evolution of mankind and in it's quest to subdue and conquer the world as the Lord said, man has tried to make the most of the powers bestowed on him by God, by expanding the index of family. This is seen in the introduction of another form of family which could be made up of a man and a man or a woman and a woman and their offspring if they so desire. That was to accommodate and make for a fairer society and equal Nation.

 

With all these complete in a family, which ever way, the next most important thing that follows is LOVE. Love of family and family member. This love is usually inevitable otherwise there wouldn't have been the coming together of the founders of the family (parents) in the first place. As time goes, it would become very important to keep and uphold the LOVE in the family. This love as I earlier said knows no bound and it's ticker than water, so to say. This form of LOVE is always in the blood and it is the origin of the 'acronym' ''till death do us part''.

 

Considering the above, I wish to ask the following questions; How much do you love your family? Secondly, have you ever hated your family or family member, if yes, why? We may or may not have found ourselves in any of the above situations, but however the case may be, this LOVE will continue to hunt us in the case of the former as long as we live, never mind the killing of Abel by Cane. 

 

The Cane and Abel scenario  has severally  been replicated in this our generation and the motive has always been the same. Greed, Jealousy, Envy, Money, Woman, to mention but a few, has been the major cause of loss of LOVE of family with infidelity at the fore front of today's situation.

 

But do you know what? The love for family can always be repaired  in a life time and hence sending signals to haters to ''back off''. Family is and will continue to be the strongest unit of any society. The LOVE of family strengthens as the family gets closer as in nuclear, gets older and as life time priorities narrows.
