We brought you all the news from tonight's launch, including full details of the iPhone 5S, the 5C 'Budget iPhone' and when you can expect to get your hands on Apple's new iOS 7. First up was the new iOS 7; Apple have announced this will be released free on September 18th. New features include a whole new look, new ringtones, camera app and notifications. iTunes radio will also be part of the new iOS 7. In all, Apple’s new operating system will have over 200 features. iOS 7 will be available for iPad 2, iPhone 4 and newer.

iPhone 5C
The iPhone 5C was also announced. This new phone will come in 5 colours, including green, white, blue, red and yellow. It's polycarbonate case can customised via an secondary outer skin, similar to certain Nokiaphones. The iPhone 5C will include an A6 chip, like the one currently in the iPhone 5, a 4-inch retina display and an 8 megapixel camera. Perhaps the biggest surprise is that in the US the phone will go on sale for $99 with a 2 year contract, so it's not as cheap as people had predicted.
iPhone 5S
Next up was the iPhone 5S, now shipping in three colours, and yes the rumours are true, it will come in gold! You won’t be able to get the new iPhone 5S in black, instead it’s coming in Space Grey, whatever that is. This new iPhone has an A7 chip and Apple reckon this will make it twice as fast as the current iPhone 5. This will improve graphics performance for better gaming. The battery hasn’t changed which is a shame, you’ll get 10 hours of talk time and video - if it's anything like the current iPhone 5 we'll believe it when we see it. The camera has been updated and Apple are boasting that it’s now at SLR level.
Some new features include auto image stabilisation, a burst mode which takes a number of photos and picks your best one, and a very cool slow-motion mode. Some of these features already exist on other handsets so Apple are playing catch up here. The flash now includes true tone mode which helps pictures look better in low light. As rumoured, Fingerprint recognition is here. It’s called Touch ID and it looks very good.
Touch the home button with your finger and your phone's unlocked, it also allows you to purchase content from iTunes...excellent, that’ll stop the kids buying in-app purchases. Each phone can have multiple fingerprints added, but this new feature should keep it prettysecure. The price will be the same as the current iPhone 5 and will be available to buy worldwide on September 20th. It will ship in the usual 16GB, 32GB & 64GB versions.
The current iPhone 5 will no longer be available to purchase.
