Simon Cowell: Kanye West's success has enabled "a monster"

The X Factor boss believes that Kanye West's notorious ego is out of control.

Simon Cowell isn't exactly known for his modesty, but now he has criticised Kanye West for his megalomaniac attitude.
On the subject of rapper Kanye, X Factor king Cowell stated: "I have an expression which is that success doesn't create the monster, it enables the monster."
His comment comes after the Blood On The Leaves rapper publicly fought with talk show host Jimmy Kimmel last week.
The 36-year-old musician took to Twitter to air his tirade against Kimmel, after the he recreated a video of his interview with Zane Lowe, replacing the pair with two children.

He was initially fairly reserved in his haughty response, tweeting: "Jimmy Kimmel is out of line to try and spoof in any way the first piece of honest media in years."
If you say so, Kanye.
But then the rapper's rant took a turn for the personal, as he tweeted: "Sarah Silverman is a thousand times funnier than you and the whole world knows it!"
He continued his Twitter rage with: "Jimmy Kimmel put yourself in my shoes... Oh no that means you would have gotten too much good **** in your life..."
Kimmel responded in good humour and dismissed the insults, laughing that he was "finally in a rap feud."
We hope that Kanye is just a little embarrassed - as he deleted his tweets shortly after his social media meltdown. Perhaps that's his version of an apology.
Despite his own egotistical failures, Cowell is pretty much on the money with his assessment of the star.
We're sure he's nicer when he's off air, but you can see some of the rapper's most obnoxious quotes here. The Mirror reports.
