Kate Barrett, 36, left the note on the back door of the home she shares with her partners Dan Owens after they suffered a break-in last weekend.
The note offers a humble apology for the couple not having nicer things as well as requesting the robbers come back if they want her collection of video tapes and audio cassettes.
Kate has become a Twitter celebrity after posting the note, as well as various pictures of the items the thieves decided not to steal, online.
Hilariously she also thanks the unknown burglars for "all the finger prints".
The burglars did make off with cufflinks, an iPod, a gold watch, a Canon camera, jewellery and cash.

Some of the items they chose to leave behind included an old Ericsson mobile phone and some old editions of the Smash Hits magazine.
The burglary took place in Kingsley, Northampton, with police currently investigating the crime.
Speaking to Metro, Kate said writing the note had cheered her up after the traumatic event.
"I was obviously really shaken and upset when it happened, but writing the note made me smile and see the funny side of things," she said.
"You've got to keep your sense of humour when something like this happens. We're fine, I'm just glad they burgled us instead of an elderly couple or someone vulnerable."
