Pistorius admits shooting the 29-year-old through his bathroom door in the early hours of the morning but denies murder saying he mistook her for an intruder. Investigators have been unable to access the Olympian's iPhone since they began the case and believe crucial messages may have been deleted. Three detectives have now flown out to Apple's headquarters in California in a last-ditch attempt to gather evidence, South African newspaper The Times reports . They have other electronic devices which might also have information, the paper adds.
According to www.dailyrecord.co.uk, they are expected to return on Wednesday when the trial will already be underway. On Tuesday a judge ruled that parts of the Pistorius trial can be broadcast live . The Blade Runner's legal team had made an application to have the media barred from proceedings arguing it would prevent him having a fair trial. But judge Dunstan Mlambo ruled to allow limited TV coverage of the case which is due to begin on March 3. It will be the first time a criminal trial has been broadcast live in South Africa's history.
