We’re often told that women with wider hips find childbirth easier, because the baby can ‘slide’ out easier, lucky us.
But a new survey suggests that because our brain recognises that we find it less traumatic, those with a width span of more than 14.2 inches are more likely to embark on a sexual career of one night stands.
According to metro.co.uk, the research, led by Leeds University, also suggested that curvier woman – measuring hip width from the two furthest apart hip bones and not hip circumference – also had more sexual partners over their lifetime.
And women, for whom one-night stands accounted for three out of every four of their sexual relationships, had hips at least 0.8inches (2cm) wider than those who had fewer one-night stands.
Is this a good or bad thing? We’re just not sure.
The survey included 148 women between the ages of 18-26, so somehow we don’t think we’ll be taking it too seriously, the report concluded. A metro.co.uk report.
