Joe Biden Ready To Challenge Hillary Clinton In 2016 Democratic Nomination!

US VP, Joe Biden
Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., said Friday that  she won’t fret if former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton decides not to run for president in 2016 because, heck, there’s still Joe Biden. Wasserman Schultz denied that Clinton is the only viable choice for Democrats.
“We have a vice president of the United States, certainly, who could be a standard-bearer,” Wasserman Schultz said in an interview taped for C-SPAN’s Newsmakers, airing Sunday. “We have a deep bench of potential candidates, whether it is Secretary Clinton, Vice President Biden, or any one of a number of candidates: Martin O’Malley, the governor of Maryland or (Gov.) Deval Patrick from Massachusetts, or (Gov.) Andrew Cuomo from New York or (Sen.) Mark Warner from Virgina — the list goes on.” She declined to set a timetable for candidates to announce their intentions to run, but said suggested Democrats will have a contested primary season. “We are going to have a robust presidential campaign, like we always do in this country.”
The congresswoman also said that she has high hopes for Democrats in the 2014 midterm elections, even though independent political analysts like the Cook Political Reportpredict Republicans will gain at least a handful of seats.  “Where will we lose to them?” Wasserman Schultz asked. “Republicans are fully engulfed and have been swallowed by the Tea Party,” which she says will give a Democratic candidate the advantage in any race against a Republican.
But she also said that what she calls the radicalization of the GOP makes it unlikely Congress will pass any meaningful legislation this year. “I defy you to name one (bill) that is significant that we are likely to come together on,” Wasserman Schultz said, because “there is no more mainstream in the Republican Party” that will allow for compromise.
