This is what happened when a lesbian couple were kicked out of a UK supermarket; Hundreds of couples stood side-by-side while locked in passionate embraces across the shop floor, rallied by the #BigKissIn hashtag on Twitter.
Protesters have taken part in a ‘big kiss in’ at a supermarket in support of a lesbian couple who were asked to leave a supermarket for kissing each other.
Annabelle Paige, 22, was approached by a security guard in the Brighton Sainsbury’s store last week and told a customer had complained about her kissing her girlfriend.
The student claimed she had done nothing more than give her partner a ‘light kiss’, however the pair were still asked to leave.
In response hundreds of protesters descended on the store to kiss one another in solidarity with Ms Paige and her girlfriend, metro reports.
