#Will The Chibok SchoolGirls Ever Be Freed? What Would Be The Greatest Regret Of The Goodluck Jonathan Administration?
I See Your Pain! |
However some blames also will have to be apportioned to the international community for also not doing enough to getting these girls freed. I wounder if these girls were white Europeans or Americas, if the West would have been this near-no-action attitude to their flight. Six months-on since the militant Islamist group Boko Haram sparked global outrage by abducting more than 200 girls from Chibok town in north-eastern Nigeria, the government has still failed to secure their release.
In the remote farming community of Chibok, the agony must be getting worse. The parents and other relatives of the missing 219 school girls must be in real pains and agony, leaving their faith to rumours from the media and a long list of unfulfilled promises from the government.
"The government must do more to either get the girls back or confirm they are dead. Some parents are already dying. About six women are said to have gone insane because they... can't endure the trauma," says Muhammad Yahaya, whose teenage daughter Yana was seized from the school by Boko Haram militants, according to the bbc.
The continued inaction on the part of the Nigerian government leading to the bereft of information on the where about of these girls will continue to hunt and will remain the greatest regret of the Goodluck Jonathan administration if no visible action is taken at rescuing the Chibok girls.
In conclusion let us keep the candle on and continue to pray, as we are a nation of prayer warriors, because with God all things are possible.
