An international team of scientists have put their great minds together to work out what makes a man look good on the dance-floor – from the female perspective.
According to The Washington Post, a group of researchers from Northumbria University and the University of Gottingen in Germany have been studying a little bump and grind to discover which moves are most likely to catch a lady’s eye.
They recruited 30 men and asked them to dance to a drum beat for 30 seconds. The men were given no further instructions on how to dance. Their movements were then recorded via a motion capture system.
Each dancer’s movements were used to animate a ‘featureless’, ‘gender-neutral’ avatar and 37 women were asked to watch each one and rate their moves on a scale of 1-7.
