A DOZEN Islamic State jihadis have died after revolutionaries infiltrated their camp, posed as chefs and poisoned their food.
Members of the Syrian Free Army said 12 IS militants perished after eating a contaminated lunch at the Fath El-Sahel camp – where approximately 1,200 are based.
The rebels who hatched the plot are a group of defected Syrian soldiers who have made it their priority to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Witness said around a dozen extremists were killed and 15 transferred to nearby field hospitals, the Times of Iraq reported.
The "chefs" immediately fled the scene with their families with the help of fellow revolutionaries.
