Can You Believe, 'Too Much Sleep Has A Link To Stroke And Diabetes?

It is hard to believe these scientists at times. They have come again. Can you believe that too much sleep is said to be bad for your health because it can increase the risk of having stroke, according to the metro.

Older people who sleep for more than 8hours a day are said to be more at risk and are 46% more likely to be affected by this cardiovascular defect.

And to put more salt to injury, the Cambridge University researchers who carried out the research said they are not sure if the long sleeping is a sign of early warning or the actual cause of this deadly and life threatening condition.

This is what we already know about too much sleeping and the risk of DIABATES; People who slept more than nine hours each night had a 50% greater risk of diabetes than people who slept seven hours a night. This increased risk was also seen in people who slept less than five hours a night.

And again in this case, the researchers also did not draw conclusions about the physiological link between long sleep and diabetes. But they did suggest that oversleeping could be indicative of underlying medical problems that increase the likelihood of diabetes.

I think we need more clarity here, abeg!
