The young man who in conjunction with his older brother masterminded the Boston Marathon marathon bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 21, was yesterday sentenced to death for killing three people and injuring 264 others in the 2013 attack. Dzhokhar and his older brother planted two gas cylinder home-made bombs near the finishing line of the Boston race and detonated them in quick successions killing 3 and causing maximum injures.

He was charged with 30-counts of which 17 carried death penalty. His defense lawyer tried to argue that his older brother who died in a shootout with police was the architect of the plot and got  Tsarnaey influenced. However the jury was unanimous in six counts, sentencing Tsarnaey to death by lethal injection.
