A UK man has landed himself in jail for trying to exploit Apple's loophole which involves exchanging 51 used and secondhand mobile phones for new ones. Edward Hornsey has already managed to earn a little under £30,000, but was caught when the company found out that most of the phones he used in the exchange were stolen phones.

He got a knock on his doors by police after one of the phones was linked to burglary. That was when Apple came to discover he was exploiting a repair or replace service to launder stolen phones. And further investigation revealed that about 45 of the phone were either registered as lost or stolen. Mr Hornsey is now facing six months in jail.
