Have You Heard? S-H-O-C-K-I-N-G!!! US Welcomes Buhari With Half Red Carpet, No High Ranking White House Official!
As President Muhammadu Buhari and his APC continue to embarrass Nigeria with yet another unsolicited invite for a state visit to the United State, after Buhari as president elect in April was kept stranded for nearly half an hour at No 10 Downing Street London, Nigerians home and abroad are crying foul.
In what looks like the White-House forgot Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari booked an appointment to make a state visit to President Obama today, they did not make a proper arrangement on how he will be welcomed. Evident upon his arrival, there was no high ranking White House official on hand to welcome PMB. Rather they made a makeshift arrangement and sent the US ambassador to Nigeria to receive our own President and to . make matter worse, they laid Half Red Carpet for our own president
God forbid!
And you know what? According to Hope For Nigeria, to the disappointment. of Nigerians living in the United States of America(USA), they have expressed their anger to the US government over their use of half Red carpet in welcoming the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari. They reasoned that Leaders of countries and Heads of Governments visiting the US are welcomed with Full Red carpet which is laid till the next entrance or exit point of the visiting leader.
President Buhari and his official 33 and 89 aides/accompanying entourage arrived the US yesterday and will be due back to Nigeria tomorrow. The three-day US visit by Buhari is projected to cost Nigerian tax payers over N2.2billion.
President Barrack Obama announced his next visit to Africa and regrettably, Nigeria is not listed, meaning that the supposedly Buhari's visit which we thought will improve or strengthen the relationship with the US is a mere jamboree arranged by Mr David Axellrod, Obama's former Cmapiagn manager and APC campaign contractor. -Nigeria deserves better!!! Hope For Nigeria.
