The Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras Announced His Resignation, Calls For Early Election

This is the mentality of the people of the Western world, when they find themselves in a difficult situation, they will resign their position and let the people decide. It is no new news that Greece has been in recession and nearly bankrupt for long now and has been living on borrowed monies from the Euro zone single currency union.

And faced with this tough economic circumstances, even after taking an extra ordinary decision that saved his country from leaving the single currency union, Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras yesterday says he is resigning and calling for early elections.
The snap polls are expected to be held on September 20. Tsipras will visit the country’s president – a necessary formality in calling early elections. The government had been rumoured to be considering early elections or a confidence vote since last week, when Tsipras faced a party rebellion over a bailout vote in parliament.
