What Happens To Your Body After Eating A Big Mac Will Put You Off McDonald’s And The Likes

For those of us who are lovers of burger or what ever you may call it in picture above, wherever you may be sourcing yours the current info is not very good for your health.

According to metro.co.uk, the chart below shows what happens to our body one hour after eating a Big Mac. It’s done by Fast Food Menu Price (FFMP) and, while some of the data is argued, it gives a damning picture of your body after eating one:

Basically the human brain is wired to lock-on to high calorie foods because they evolved at a time when food was scarce. So we can blame the Maccy D pangs on evolution. Good to know. It only takes 20 minutes, they say, for the high levels of sugars and sodium to wreak havoc on your body.

The 970 milligrams of sodium in one burger is enough to mimic symptoms of dehydration, FFMP says. This isn’t good news for your kidneys, and the overdose makes the heart beat faster which causes high blood pressure and, ultimately, lead to strokes and heart disease. Then there’s the cravings for more. And that’s only after 30 minutes. Source; metro.co.uk
