President Buhari interacting with fellow heads of government and Queen Elizabeth of England at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting this afternoon in Malta. The Queen being the head of the orgnisation, hosted a special reception for the first time members of the Commonwealth Heads of government at San Anton Palace.

The Commonwealth Nations are a group of Nations that were all former British colonies. The organization is made up of 53 sovereign nations and an estimates 2.2 billion people commanding 20% of the entire global trade. 

The organization purportedly claims to support each other and work together towards international goals. With their common heritage in language, culture, law, education and democratic traditions, among other things, Commonwealth countries are able to work together in an atmosphere of greater trust and understanding than generally prevails among nations.
