Biafran Referendum To Be Debated In U.S Congress – Hon. Robert Dornan

According to a report by Dailyglobewatch, ex-United States Congressman, Hon Robert Dornan has renewed his call for Biafra referendum, with a resolve to table the matter before the US Congress through his colleagues and progressively press the matter to the United Nations, Dailyglobewatch reports.

Robert who served between 1977 and 1997, says that conducting referendum will enable the south eastern people of Nigeria decide their political future, adding that the ongoing agitation in the country will escalate into armed conflict if proper thing is not done.
You would recall Mr. Robert was earlier quoted as saying, “I say, the Biafrans have known suffering and death and as a responsible witness to that holocaust and as a Christian man of honor I add my voice to those calling for an internationally recognized referendum on the future of Biafra.

Sources revealed that Mr Dornan's renewed call was born out of anger over several reports of extra judicial killing of the members of the IPOB and the incessant attack and killing of the people of South East Nigeria by the so called Fulani herdsmen, which has received very little or no Federal government attempt/effort to arresting and prosecuting the perpetrators.

Continuing, Mr Dornan said; this indicates the fact that the Nigerian Hausa-Muslim led Federal Government are purposely keeping a blind eye, hence allowing the killing to continue with the hope of frightening the people into submission, thereby exposing well over 40 million people of this region into possible extinction.
