Queen Elizabeth II Makes Yet Another History, Becomes The First British's Monarch To Mark Sapphire Jubilee!

Queen Elizabeth 11 of England has yet again reached another milestone in her reign. You would recall there was a time when only men ruled over England, today a woman is celebrating being the longest serving monarch in England & Wales. Today, February 6th marks 65 years since Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne. She became England's longest reigning monarch in 2015 after overtaking Queen Victoria.

There will be no big festival to mark this milestone. Grand jubilee celebrations are to be reserved for the platinum jubilee when the queen gets to mark 70 years on the throne and that will be in five years time. By that time, the queen will be 96 years old.

Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne on the 6th of February 1952, following the death of her father, King George VI. She will also mark her 7 years of marriage to her husband Prince Phillip in November this year.

Congrats, Her Majesty and wishing you long-life, good health and even a longer reign on the throne.
