The portrait is emerging of a violent criminal, born Adrian Russell Ajao on Christmas Day 1964 in the English county of Kent, who converted to Islam and moved around the U.K. before settling with his wife and at least one child in Birmingham. He is reported to have spent significant time in Saudi Arabia between 2005 and 2009 teaching English.
