According to reports, Chinese warships today were forced to leave Sydney after a "surprise" visit to the Australian city raised tensions in the region the express.co.uk reports.
"Three warships sailed through the Sydney Heads and passed by various coastal landmarks in what experts are labeling a show of force. The Chinese fleet made up of a frigate, a supply ship, and an amphibious war vessel – was unnerving for the unaware. The Australian government also did not reveal that the ships were conducting live-firing exercises in the South Indian Ocean – just west of the country."
According to a source; "The ships arrived off Darling Point and other famous places in Sydney’s harbor without people knowing in advance – and with armed soldiers and sailors on the decks of the ships looking fairly aggressive.” The express.co.uk report.
