Jose Mourinho today demanded Romelu Lukaku come clean over the reasons he left Chelsea.
The Belgian striker has been a massive hit in his loan spell at Everton, with seven goals in nine appearances since his deadline day move.
Mourinho, though, appears to have become increasingly irritated by suggestions from the striker that he was forced to leave the Blues against his will.
And today the Blues manager bit back as he told Lukaku, who has claimed no contact for two months, it is time to tell the truth.
Mourinho said: ''Romelu likes to speak. He's a young boy who likes to speak.
''But the only thing he didn't say is why he went to Everton on loan. That's the only thing he never says.
''And my last contact with him was to tell him exactly that. I said 'Why do you never say why you are not here?'
''So it's something he should talk about because he likes to speak. It's something he should say, the reason why he's not with Chelsea and is in Everton.''
Mourinho revealed he will again be without knee victim David Luiz, while Samuel Eto'o faces up to 17 days out with the hamstring injury he sustained in the 1-0 defeat to Basel.
Changes are expected for Sunday's game with Southampton, part of what Mourinho predicted will be Chelsea's toughest spell of the season to date.
The Blues boss added: ''Ther are lots of matches now. Now it's time for the squad. Now it's time for the squad. Now it's time for everybody to feel that they have a chance.
"So when we play now Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday, when we have Southampton, Sunderland and Stoke, that makes ''SSS''
''And in the SSS week everybody will have a chance.''
That includes Ashley Cole, who has dropped behind Cesar Azpilicueta in the pecking order and Demba Ba, with Mourinhio insisting he will not go into the market for a striker, or a replacement for the England left-back, in January.
Chelsea have been linked with Real Madrid's Fabio Coentrao but Mourinho insisted: ''No. No. I don't want Portuguese players. I always had them but, at this moment, it's enough.
''I don't have them now. Only Hilario, the remaining one. But we don't need. We don't need.
''In the January market we're not going to buy any striker, so we will go through to the end of the season with Fernando (Torres), Samuel and Demba. Nobody goes in. Nobody goes out.''
