Adamawa Acting Governor Emerged PDP Guber Candidate

Even in the face of the recent news about his disqualification making the air wave lately, the Acting Governor of Adamawa State Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has emerged the Peoples Democratic Party Candidate where he defeated his rivals by scoring a total of 624 votes while his closest rival former Executive Secretary of Universal Basic Education Dr. Ahmed Modibbo scored 197 votes.
The primaries which started on Saturday afternoon lasted throughout the night and was concluded around 4:00am on Sunday.
Former military administrator of Lagos and Borno states, Gen. Buba Marwa, who was the second runner up in the contest scored a distant 54 votes, Dr. Umar Ardo scored 9 votes and Jerry Kumdisi scored 4 votes while 25 votes were invalidated.
During his victory speech, the acting Governor thanked the delegates for voting him while he urged his rivals to rally round him for the party to emerge victorious in the October 11, 2014
